How to Participate

This year’s program is designed around the popular role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons. The reading log is a custom map featuring eight unique settlements which will be traveled to and from throughout the program. Upon signing up, the participant will receive a copy of the map and a 50ct sheet of dot stickers to track their progress. Stickers can be placed along preexisting routes as daily reading goals are met. Goals are set by the age group and can be achieved daily or by meeting the total minimum reading times for the week. Each week of the program will start off in a new location on the map. Upon completion of the week’s reading, the participant will reach the next settlement and be rewarded with a raffle ticket and die (7 in total). Additional tickets can be earned by attending or participating in scheduled events and activities taking place at the library.

Ages 5 & Under

Read for 15min a day or a total of 1hr 45min per week.

Ages 6-12

Read for 30min a day or a total of 3.5hrs per week.

Ages 13+

Read for 1hr per day or a total of 7hrs per week. Finishing a book will automatically meet the reading goals for that week.
