Technology & Support
The Huntington Public Library offers a variety of technology-related services to meet the needs of Huntington and surrounding communities. These services are designed to make technology more accessible and to help bridge the digital divide. Here are some of the key technologies you can find:
Wi-Fi Access
Free wireless internet is available throughout the library and parking lot from 9 AM-9 PM under the “Library Guest” network.
Public Access Computer
The Library has one desktop computer to be used for internet browsing, word processing, and accessing the library’s catalog and databases. Computer is equipped with Deep Freeze, clearing all data upon reboot.
Laptop Loans
The Library has three Chromebooks available for use within the library. Browse with Guest Mode to ensure your data is protected. Information is wiped upon sign out.
Copying, Printing, & Scanning
The Library leases a Konica Minolta Bizhub printer which is available for public use. The Library board and staff suggest a donation of $0.25 per page for Black & White prints and $0.50 per page for Color. Printer is kept behind the Circulation Desk and requires staff assistance for use.
Technical Support
Tech help is essential for ensuring that individuals can effectively use their technology and resolve any issues that arise. Knowledgeable library personnel can assist with basic technology-related inquiries including troubleshooting and providing guidance.
Walk-in tech support is available for Libby and other library-specific technical questions (CW MARS catalog, online account, placing holds, etc.) during regular business hours.
Surface level support for personal technology issues is available Tuesday afternoons by appointment.
